A gold medal performance by the consistent Humanise, (Red Element x Trois Etoiles (IRE)), a three year old filly from our yard, producing a gutsy win in the 1280m USG Boral Maiden Plate held at the twilight meeting at Orange on Friday 21st November.
Under the guidance of Chad Lever, the filly began well, taking over the lead at the 1200 metre marker. Travelling well within herself and being rated nicely by her rider, Humanise was full of running approaching the home turn.
On straightening for home, she was given some rein and kicked a couple of lengths clear adopting "catch me if you can" tactics. It was a winning move, although getting a bit weary nearing the post, she stuck to her guns and held on to win by the shortest of margins from the fast finishing House of Nicole ridden by Greg Ryan from the stable of Rick Worthington who is based at Warwick Farm.
It was a good day for Chad, riding three winners on the card, likewise for Anthony Gafa, one of the filly's owners, as earlier in the day, Che Zooms, carrying the same colours, ran a gallant second in race two.
Our heartiest congratulations go to all of the owners of Humanise and we are looking forward to her winning again in the not too distant future, as her record shows (one win and a third placing from only two starts) there's definitely more gold medals in store.
Good Luck to All
